First Meeting: Thursday, July 15, 2010;
1:00 – 3:00 p.m.,
This new SIG started out with a General Meeting (Topic: "Using your Computer for Home Finance" in February 2010) and was followed up by a Special SIG on the following Monday (Monday After: Special SIG: Home Finances / Quicken).

"Using your Computer for Home Finance"

Come and explore the options for Home Finance Software and how it can save you a considerable amount of time.

Quicken Financial Software

Surveys about computer use suggest that, next to e-mails, using the computer for managing finances is one of the top-reported uses. Quicken software is most commonly used for home finances, and the Port Ludlow Computer Club (PLCC) will present an overview of Quicken software for home finances at its February meeting. Dave Pike and Don Folsom will show simple and easy examples of how the software can be used to build a household budget and print reports such as actual expenses vs. budget, year-to-date expenses, how much was paid to various vendors, etc.

If you would like to learn more about Quicken and how it can assist you in managing household finances, please join the PLCC at the Bay Club on Monday, February 8, at 6:00 p.m. as we explore this topic.
