Port Ludlow Computer Club!

. . . an active organization that offers understanding and enjoyment to all who own (or use) a computer . . . PC or MAC. The Port Ludlow Computer Club General Meeting . . .open to all Port Ludlow residents is held the Second Monday from 6:00-8:00 (except August & December) in the South Bay Club Auditorium.

A half hour social, allowing members to meet other computer enthusiasts . . . followed by a presentation by a guest speaker - an expert in specific areas of computer use and application - on a wide range of subjects, products, & services. Or the presentation may be given by PLCC members on areas of their expertise. All presentations are meant to enhance your experience on the computer.

August is the PLCC Potluck Social and December is the PLCC Holiday Party. These are always great fun and an opportunity to socialize and get to know other members.

THE PORT LUDLOW COMPUTER CLUB OFFERS ITS MEMBERS . . .

  • QUESTION & ANSWER SESSIONS Saturday morning: 11:00-12:00 . . . an open question/answer session. Members can submit questions in advance by email

  • SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (SIG) Held in the South Bay Club classroom Although for PLCC Members Only, Non-members are welcome to attend one SIG to see if there is interest in PLCC membership.

    • Microsoft Office SIG
      This group is open to any and all questions about the programs of Microsoft Office: Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Access / Outlook.

    • Windows Live Mail SIG
      Explored the features and tools of Windows Live Mail - questions welcomed, & handouts available.

    • “Special” Topics SIG
      Devoted to discussion of varied topics. Suggestions of subject by members are welcome and, if enough interest, will become a “Special Topic”. Information on scheduled subjects of Special Topics is found on PLCC web site under Education / Special Interest Groups /

    • Pro-Show Gold SIG
      Members work together to enhance understanding and use of Pro Show Gold software. SIG conducted on a PC.

    • Photography SIG
      Discussion of film and digital photography, accessories, and image editing. Questions are welcome.

    • MAC Interest Group
      Schedule & agenda on PLCC web site under Education / Special Interest Groups / MAC

  • CLASSES

    • Beginning Computer Course
      A comprehensive beginner's class on the use and understanding of PC computers. Information about the class on the PLCC website under Education / Classes / Beginning Computer Course. (Payment of Course Fee Required for Registration)

    • MAC Beginning Computer Class
      A comprehensive beginner's class on the use and understanding of MAC computers. Information about the class on the PLCC website under Education / Classes / MAC Beginning Computer Course. (Payment of Course Fee Required for Registration)

    • Photo Editing Class
      Digital Photo Editing - Using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Three sessions held at the Bay Club, and two sessions (hands on) at WSU computer lab. Information about the class on the PLCC website under Education / Classes / Photography. (Payment of Course Fee Required for Registration)

  • MENTORING

    A volunteer PLCC mentor will meet with members to discuss and assist with computer software and hardware issues.
